When tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and
called my name,
And took me by the hand,
And said my place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for,
So much yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible,
That I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
And all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for a while,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
Would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and
smiled at me,
From His great golden throne,
He said "This is eternity,
And all I've promised you."

Today for life on earth is past,
But here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
And since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.

But you have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Thought there were times
you did some things,
You knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you take my hand
And share my life with me?

So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.

This page is dedicated in loving memory to my Dad, Edward F. Randolph.

March 2, 1937 - December 31, 2001

Favorite things....Peanut butter, honeysuckle, anything the color brown and orange, tootsie midgies, reeses cups, hersey kisses, (can you tell he liked chocolate?) baked potatoes with sour creme, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, watching "Walker Texas Ranger", watching westerns on tv, listening to older country music....especially Johnny Cash , and listening to Dave play his special version of "Rockin Chair", woodworking, driving truck, and last but not least...playing cards....."deal 'em".

He was know as a man that would help anyone, he'd give a stranger the shirt off of his back.  He was know as "Stubby" by many of his truck driving pals and by many close friends because  his fingers on his right hand were cut off at the first joint when I was a young child.  He was also called "Randy" by those who knew him other then talking to him on the CB.  My dad had alot of funny things that he did.....always saving and smashing cans until they were flat as a pancake, putting every tool in a certain spot on his "work bench" and knowing if you didn't get it put away exactly as he had put it there and mostly for his corny sayings. Especially for those corny sayings!!!    My favorite saying of his is especially fitting today....today would have been his birthday...

When you get old,
and think you're sweet,
take off your shoes,
and smell your feet!

Happy Birthday to my dad...........

A friend of mine email this to me.....thanks Roseann!!!
You are visitor                                 since March 2, 2002.

Why?

Perhaps one day we'll understand.
Why God decided to take your hand,
And lead you into heaven above.
Surrounded by his tender love.

Never does a day pass by,
That we don't ask the question, Why?
Why did God take are precious son?
Was it something we had done?

We hope to face the Lord one day,
And ask him why you couldn't stay
on earth with those who loved you so
and wanted just to see you grow.

We mourn for things that will not be,
For things with you, we'll never see.
Your wife and child we'll never share,
For special times when you won't be there.

No more to see your smiling face,
Nothing will ever take its place.
In our hearts you will always stay
While we await that "One Sweet Day".

That "One Sweet Day" in heaven above,
where we will meet and affirm our love.
Once more our arms will hold you tight,
As in God's presence we'll reunite.

Until that day we must live our lives.
Ensuring each memory of you survives
And feel your presence, ever near
Each time we shed each painful tear.

"See you in Heaven" you'll hear us say
As you watch over us each day.
Then when our lives on earth are done,
We know you'll be the one to come.

You'll take us gently by the hand,
And lead us to God's Heavenly land.
Where all together we will be,
Our, once more, happy family.

A Special Person

They say it takes a minute to find a special person,
an hour to appreciate them,
a day to love them,
but then an entire life to forget them..

Pennies from Heaven

I found a penny today Just laying on the ground.
But it's not just a penny, this little coin I've found.
   Found pennies come from heaven,
that's what my Grandpa told me.
He said Angels toss them down.
Oh, how I loved that story.

He said when an Angel misses you,
they toss a penny down.
Sometimes just to cheer you up,
to make a smile out of your frown.

So, don't pass by that penny,
when you're feeling blue.
It may be a penny from heaven,
that an Angel's tossed to you.

The WeatherPixie
My Dad always had a soft spot for a pretty girl...and he was always wondering about the weather...so I figured I take care of both of those for him with a Weather Pixie :)
